משתמש ברדיט קנה את הכבל של Essager שמראה את ההספק על הכבל וזה דפק לו 2 מכשירים לצמיתות

It worked fine a few times. Then I plugged it into a powerbank and the powerbank immediately shut down. Wouldn't accept a charge, wouldn't charge anything else, LEDs didn't even light up.
Stupid me thought it was just the powerbank that crapped out. So a few weeks pass and I plug the same cable into my laptop. Exactly the same result as with the powerbank. Shuts down completely, can't be turned on at all, LEDs off. I removed the battery and unplugged for a few hours, still nothing.
I've sent it in for repair, hopefully they can do something.
What I'm thinking is that somehow the current meter in the cable must be creating an over voltage that fried the motherboard.
Am I right to assume that getting any form of compensation for the damaged laptop is unrealistic?
Anyway, be careful. When you buy USB equipment, buy from established brands (had good results with ugreen so far) and test it on cheap devices first.
