Your AE-2000 is in very good condition for a 9 year old watch. This particular model is much better than a G-Shock because you do not have to worry about the outer bezel rotting, cracking and falling off the watch like you do on the G-Shock watches. Also, the metal exterior that covers the watch case keeps the watch case rugged and sturdy. The only thing that you have to do is replace the resin band if it ever breaks with another one or with the AE-2000 stainless steel bracelet. The AE-2000 also has a mineral crystal and 200 meter water resistance just like the G-Shock watches. You made an excellent choice owning this particular model.




The AE-2000 is one of the best non G-Shock watches with the G-Shock durablity. I like the stainless steel bezel that it has over its case making it more durable and not having to worry about resin rot like on the G-Shocks.
I myself own 4 of this particular model. 2 with the stainless steel bracelet and 2 with the black resin strap. I like the AE-2000, but I like the AE-2100 even more because the AE-2100 has a much larger digital analog clock on the lcd display than the AE-2000 which makes the analog clock on the AE-2100 easier to read. I was able to find and grab 8 new old stock brand new Casio AE-2100 watches with the stainless streel bracelet and another 5 with the black resin strap from Hong Kong. I also found another 8 new old stock brand new Casio AE-2100 watches with the orange strap that I grabbed. I'm glad that I was able to find and grab them all because Casio discontinued the AE-2100 a while ago and it's become a very rare watch which is very hard to find now. The AE-2100 has one of the best lcd modules in it and it has the same durable capabilities like the G-Shocks with its 200 meter water resistance, mineral crystal and solid watch case.
